I arrived late for this course due to a late shift in degree program, but the first piece of text I received was a PowerPoint about the history of Gothic literature followed by a series of very random and creepy images off the internet. It would later become clear to me the nature of my instructor, Roger's, fascination with such things (especially zombies) and how it would determine the course of each lesson.
