Ketchup Reflection #1 - The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari

Hi, I am going to take this time to reflect on what I've learned each class in Film Studies. It's almost the end of the term, so I have a bit to catch up on. Please bear with me; I'll try to avoid vagueness as much as possible.

The first film we watched in this class was a silent film, one of the earliest ever made - The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

A German film deemed genius for its time, Dr. Caligari is the subject of a long, fascinating tale told to a friend by a man who is revealed to be a patient in an asylum near the end. There is a part between the story and the revelation that gets confusing; Dr. Caligari is "discovered" and has a moment of insanity himself after he is found to be the doctor of the asylum. I just ruined the movie for you, so you needn't bother watching it.
